- Do you give a price over the phone?
- We can discuss ranges after we know squares and the system. A number that ignores pitch, layers, and deck condition is not a price.
- How do you charge for a consultation?
- A scheduled consultation is a working visit — measure, photos, and options. It is not advertised as free, and it is not a high-pressure pitch.
- What areas do you serve?
- Service areas are the cities configured for this company. If none are listed yet, add them in Settings.
- Which manufacturers do you install?
- Manufacturer A and Manufacturer C steep-slope systems, plus tile, standing seam, TPO, PVC, and modified on the roofs that need them.
- How does payment work?
- California law caps the down payment at $1,000 or 10% of the contract, whichever is less. Progress and final payments follow the contract.
- How long does a typical house take?
- Most single-story architectural jobs finish in one to three crew days after materials arrive. Tile, steep, or two-story homes take longer.
- Can you work while the business stays open?
- Often yes. We plan access, fall protection, and noisy work around your hours.
- How long do architectural shingles last here?
- Life depends on ventilation, color, and the line. Heat in the Valley is harder on dark shingles than coastal climates.
- Is Premium warranty path automatic?
- No. Enhanced coverage has installer and product rules. We only offer it when the job qualifies.
- Is Architectural shingle tier 2 a cool roof?
- Some colors carry cool ratings. We check the current Manufacturer A data for the color you pick and the local energy code path.
- Does it look like tile?
- It reads as a heavy shingle, not clay tile. For true tile, see our tile pages.
- Can I compare Manufacturer A and Manufacturer C on the same proposal?
- Yes. We price both as complete systems so the comparison is honest.
- Can you reuse my existing tile?
- Sometimes. We inspect breakage, remaining stock, and color lot before promising a lift-and-relay.
- Will my roof look the same?
- The field should. New flashings and bird stops will look new, which is correct.
- TPO or PVC?
- Depends on chemicals, grease, and the building. Kitchens and some industrial decks often favor PVC.
- Is PVC always better?
- No. For a clean office roof, TPO is often the right assembly. PVC earns its keep in harsher use.
- Is torch-down outdated?
- Not on the right small roof. It is the wrong default for a large commercial field.
- Will it rust?
- Finish and cut-edge care matter. We use current architectural finishes and detail them correctly.
- Can this go on my house?
- Sometimes, if the look and the fastener maintenance are acceptable. Many homes are better served by standing seam.
- Can you foam over the old roof?
- We evaluate recover vs tear-off. Extra weight and trapped moisture can rule a recover out.
- Do you warranty a repair?
- Workmanship on the repaired detail is covered in writing. We cannot warranty the rest of an aged roof.
- Is this a cleaning service?
- We clear valleys and outlets as part of a roof visit. Dedicated gutter contracts are separate.
- Is this the same as a home inspector’s roof note?
- We look only at the roof and related water-shed details, with more time on flashings and the deck than a general inspection.
- Will you certify a roof that needs work?
- We will describe the condition accurately. We will not sign a clean cert on a failed roof.
- Should gutters be replaced with the roof?
- If they are spiked, rusted, or the wrong size, yes. Sound hidden-hanger gutters can stay.
- Do seamless gutters clog less?
- They still need outlets and occasional clearing. Seamless fixes joints, not leaves.
- Should I replace skylights with the roof?
- If they are original to an old roof, usually yes. The flashing kit will not outlive a second roof.
- Do I need a power fan?
- Often no. Balanced passive ventilation is quieter and has no motor to fail.
- How many sheets should I budget?
- It varies. Older leaky roofs can need many; a well-kept roof may need few. We photograph every sheet we change.
- Can you attend a board meeting?
- Yes. Bring the measure, the options, and the schedule — not a sales deck.
- Can you invoice per property?
- Yes. Each site can have its own job and invoice.
- Can you meet a district spec?
- Send the spec. We bid to it or take documented exceptions.
- Do you work with owner-builders?
- Yes, if plans, permit, and payment terms are clear.
