Roof Ventilation

Balanced intake and exhaust so Valley heat does not cook the shingles and the attic.

Many Valley attics have exhaust and no intake, or painted-shut soffits. That shortens shingle life and cooks HVAC. We calculate net-free area, add soffit or edge intake, and ridge or proper exhaust. More fans are not always the answer.

Problems it solves

  • Hot upstairs
  • Shingles aging too fast
  • Moisture in the attic

Questions

Do I need a power fan?

Often no. Balanced passive ventilation is quieter and has no motor to fail.
