Designer shingle tier 3 is a designer asphalt shingle with a larger tab and deeper shadow. It costs more than Architectural shingle tier 1 and takes a more careful layout. We only specify it when the roof geometry and the homeowner’s expectation match the product. Installation follows Manufacturer A’s current designer instructions, including starter and ridge.

Questions
Does it look like tile?
It reads as a heavy shingle, not clay tile. For true tile, see our tile pages.
